CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Aim:  To gain a deeper mechanistic understanding of biologica
l systems\, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s Imaging program aims to vis
ualize and measure them across biological scales and in their biological c
ontext. The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) seeks to support one-year pro
jects in the field of cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy (cryo
-CLEM) labels to drive development of complete\, general-purpose\, intrace
llular imaging probes for cryo-CLEM. This grant program will advance the u
tility of cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) of cells by providing informa
tion on specific aspects of cell function.  \n\nFunding:       $16
 5\,000 total costs\n\nDuration:      12 months\n *note: Proposed bud
gets should reflect the project scope. $15\,000 USD direct costs of the pr
oposed budget must be included as a budget item to support trainees workin
 g on the project\, beyond personnel costs.\n\nEligibility: Applicants\, PI
s and Co-PIs\, must hold a PhD\, MD\, or equivalent degree. Each applicati
on should have a minimum of one PI (Coordinating PI)\, but may designate u
p to two total PIs (one Coordinating PI and one Co-PI) \; see RFA for mor
e details.\n\nHow to Apply: All applications must be completed and submitt
ed through CZI’s online grants management portal at https://apply.chanzu
ckerberg.com. Please contact the Research Office for organization details
and for assistance with the institutional approval form. The budget should
