DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The Alzheimer’s Association Research Grant (AARG) awa
 rd aims to fund early-career investigators who are less than 18 years past
  their doctoral degree or post-residency (MD or DO). The purpose of this p
 rogram is to provide newly independent investigators with funding that wil
 l allow them to develop preliminary or pilot data\, to test procedures and
  to develop hypotheses. The intent is to support early-career development 
 that will lay the groundwork for future research grant applications to fed
 eral or other funding entities.\n\nFunding:       $200’000\n\nDurat
 ion:      3 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants must be Assistant Profess
 ors or above at their respective institution. Eligibility to apply for thi
 s grant competition is restricted to investigators who have less than 18 y
 ears of research experience after receipt of their terminal degree — doc
 torate or post-residency (M.D. or D.O.). Adjustments for career interrupti
 ons can be made. These can include\, but are not limited to\, family leave
 \, military service and major illness or injury.\n\nThe sister programs AA
 RG-D\, AARG-NTF\, and AARG-D-NTF are available for applicants who come fro
 m underrepresented groups and/.or are new to the field. For more guidance\

 ion process begins with a letter of intent\, which can be submitted on pro
 posalCENTRAL. First-time users must register and fill out a Professional P
 rofile in proposalCENTRAL to begin the LOI/application process. If EPFL wi
 ll serve as your host institution\, please use the following institution n
 ame in proposalCENTRAL: Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne EPFL. A
 s part of the LOI application\, you must submit a W-8-BEN-E tax form. Cont
 act the Research Office for assistance.\n\nSelected applicants will be req
 uested to submit full applications. More details on required contents for 
 full proposals can be found on pages 15-16 of the 2023 program announcemen
 t. The application must include a two/three-page statement from the select
 ed mentor that includes information on his or her research qualifications\
 , experience as a research supervisor and commitment to the applicant. Thi
