DESCRIPTION:Aim: CIFAR invites outstanding early career researchers from a
 cross the natural\, biomedical\, life and social sciences and the humaniti
 es to join one of four interdisciplinary research programs that address so
 me of the most important questions facing science and humanity. The CIFAR
  Azrieli Global Scholars program is designed to accelerate the developmen
 t of early career researchers in their pivotal first years as independent 
 principal investigators in an academic or research institution\, with resp
 onsibilities for research and teaching.\n\nThe programs accepting applicat
 ions are:\n \n\n	Future Flourishing\n	Gravity & the Extreme Universe\n	Hu
 manity's Urban Future\n	The Multiscale Human\n\n\nAwardees remain at their
  home institution throughout their two-year term. The research funding ass
 ociated with the award is administered through the recipient’s instituti
 onal department.\n\nFunding: CAD $100\,000\n\nDuration: 2 years (term will
  begin on 1 April 2024 and end on 31 March 2026)\n\nEligibility: Applicant
 s may be based anywhere in the world\, must hold a PhD (or equivalent) and
  be within the first five years of starting a full-time position at an ins
 titution of higher education or research\, with responsibilities that incl
 ude both conducting an independent research program and supervising/teachi
 ng trainees toward the completion of a degree.\nPostdoctoral fellows are N
 OT eligible to apply to this program\, with the following exception: If yo
 u have a pending first full-time position that meets the full eligibility 
 criteria and starts no later than 1 July 2024\, you are eligible to apply.
  In this case\, you must submit a copy of your letter of appointment with 
 your application.\n\nHow to Apply: Applications are made through an online
  application system\, and include a Summary section\, a Detailed section\,
  and two to three Letters of recommendation. Note that the letters of reco
 mmendation must be submitted independently on the platform by the referees
 \, and are also due by the application’s deadline. Shortlisted candidate
 s will be invited to attend a virtual selection meeting on 20 or 21 March 
 2024\; final results will be communicated by 29 March 2024.\n\nApplication
