DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) is pleased to announ
 ce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for preclinical\, translational\, and ear
 ly clinical research with the potential to produce unusually high impact\,
  near-term advancements in melanoma prevention\, detection\, diagnosis\, a
 nd treatment. \n\nProposals will be accepted for Team Science Awards (& A
 cademic-Industry Partnership Awards)\, Young Investigator Awards\, Pilot A
 wards\, and Dermatology Career Development Awards\, which are all summariz
 ed below.\nFull details can be found in the RFP.\n\nTeam Science Award: De
 signed to foster a collaborative research process and promote transformati
 onal melanoma research advances with the potential for rapid clinical tran
 slation. Evidence of prior collaboration among team members is encouraged\
 , but not required. Team must be multidisciplinary and consist of two or m
 ore established Principal Investigators from the same or different institu
 tions.\nFunding up to $300\,000 per year for three years. LOI due 20 Septe
 mber 2023.\n\nTeam Science Academic-Industry Partnership Award: Similar re
 quirements as Team Science Award above\, but Industry partner must provide
  funds and/or in-kind support (e.g.\, reagents\, clinical grade drugs\, eq
 uipment\, and contract services) that matches or exceeds MRA funds for the
  award period.\nFunding up to $300\,000 per year for three years. LOI due 
 20 September 2023.\n\nYoung Investigator Program: Aimed at early career fa
 culty researchers working on innovative and original\, preclinical\, trans
 lational\, and/or early clinical research projects. Applicants must be wit
 hin the first five years of their first independent academic faculty appoi
 ntment.\nFunding up to $85\,000 per year for three years. Eligibility chec
 k due 20 October 2023.\n\nPilot Award: Senior investigators who propose po
 tentially transformative ideas that do not have extensive preliminary data
  but articulate a clear hypothesis and translational goals. Applicants mus
 t be senior investigators\, past the first five years of their first acade
 mic faculty appointment.\nFunding up to $50\,000 per year for two years. F
 ull proposal due 3 November 2023.\n\nDermatology Career Development Award:
  Will support research projects (including epidemiological data gaps and p
 opulation health and education programs)\, practice changing demonstration
  projects\, and/or immersive studies aimed at improving melanoma preventio
 n\, early detection\, diagnosis\, and/or staging.\nFunding up to $75\,000 
 per year for two years. Eligibility check due 20 October 2023.\n\nHow to A
