 ief outline of the proof of the Onsager conjecture in 3 dimensions via the
  method of a Nash iteration. Along the way\, we'll notice the difficulties
  in extending this to the case of 2 dimensions and we'll discuss how to ov
 ercome these via a linear Newton iteration. We will end with a discussion 
 of possible future directions. This is joint work with Răzvan-Octavian Ra
 du.
