DESCRIPTION:The ETH Domain Open Research Data (ORD) Program consists of fi
ve measures to foster and improve ORD practices with the broader aim of ad
vancing Open Science among ETH Domain researchers and institutions.\n\nThe
overall aim of Measure 1 of this program is to support researchers engagi
ng in or developing ORD practices with and for their community(-ies) and t
o assist these researchers in becoming Open Science leaders in their field
(s). Its secondary goal — in synergy with Measure 2 — is to strengthen
the connections between research communities and services and infrastruct
ures providers.\n\nWhat:\nThe ETH Domain is now launching two calls for ap
plications. For both calls\, applications can be received from the six ETH
  Domain institutions: EPFL\, ETHZ\, PSI\, WSL\, Empa\, Eawag.\n\nContribut
 e track – 6th call – deadline: 12 December 2023 \n\nFunding for Contri
bute projects aims at:\n\n● Contributing a piece of software\, data\, ha
rdware\, etc\, which simplifies an established ORD practice\, develops its
research potential\, or otherwise improves it\;\n\n● Curating or otherw
ise improving available ORD\, for example\, by updating existing data to a
dapt it to the evolution of ORD practices or by linking different ORD data
sets or by collecting and curating existing data before uploading it to an
ORD platform\;\n\n● Providing community services\, such as the organiza
tion of a workshop or training\, or coordination for the development of an
ORD standard.\n\nFunding is available for projects up to 12 months with a
n overall budget that must be CHF 30’000.\n\nExplore track – Final cal
 l – deadline: 29 February 2024. \n\nFunding for Explore projects aims at
exploring/prototyping/building up ORD practices\, which could foster and
improve research capabilities and support research communities. These proj
ects should pave the way\, inside\, across and outside the ETH-Domain\, fo
r sustainable ORD future practices and have the potential to be extensivel
y adopted in many research and societal communities.\n\nThis is the 2nd an
d final call of Explore within Measure 1. Funding is available for project
s of up to 18 months with an overall budget that must not exceed CHF 150
’000.\n\nAn online information workshop for the 2nd call of Explore will
be organised on 11 January 2024 (15 – 15h45 CET). Please register in ad
 vance at: https://forms.gle/vTrEFsD9F66hBCVJ6\n\nEligibility requirements
and budget information can be found on the ETH-Domain’s ORD Program webp
age for Measure 1.\nHow to apply: online application platform.\n\nDeadline
 s:\n\n	Contribute – 6th call: 12 December 2023 (17:00 CET)\n	Explore –
  2nd and final call: 29 February 2024 (17:00 CET)\n\nMore details: please
