DESCRIPTION:For a Sustainable Built Environment\n\nThe “ENAC Fribourg Gr
 ants” call is offering a new opportunity to boost interdisciplinary rese
 arch and innovative approaches for a sustainable development of the built 
 environment. The call is open to all EPFL laboratories.\n\nThe call is ini
 tiated by the EPFL Fribourg associated campus and aims at increasing resea
 rch collaborations between the EPFL community and non-academic public or p
 rivate entities located in the canton of Fribourg.\n\nMain requirements:\n
 \n	The application should involve minimum two EPFL researchers (further ca
 lled “investigators”) coming from two different EPFL laboratories prop
 osing an interdisciplinary research project\;\n	At least one investigator 
 must be employed at a laboratory of the ENAC School\;\n	The investigators 
 must hold a PhD degree at the time of submitting the application\;\n	The i
 nvestigators\, who are not directing an EPFL laboratory/unit\, need a supp
 ort letter of the head of the laboratory/unit\;\n	The investigators should
  bring different skills to tackle ambitious research problems linked to th
 e Smart Living Lab strategic topics: construction materials and technologi
 es\; carbon footprint\; building LCA\; energy systems\; digitalization in 
 architecture\, engineering and construction sector\; user-building interac
 tions\; human well-being in the built environment\n	An expression of inter
 est from minumum one non-academic public or private partner in the Fribour
 g area needs to be added to the pre-proposal application\;\n	The requested
  grant budget can be max. 250kCHF and only EPFL labs are eligible to recei
 ve funding\;\n	Matching funds: investigators need to contribute with a min
 . of 20% of the total funds requested\;\n	Co-financing of ongoing EPFL res
 earch activities is not allowed\;\n	Projects should run for 2 or 3 years.\
