DESCRIPTION:PhD Students / doctorantes et doctorants\nSome fourty EPFL St
 udents registered to take part in the 8th Edition of the Competition My Th
 esis in 180 seconds (MT180).\n\nFor each participant\, the goal is to pres
 ent his or her research in simple\, straightforward terms in 3 minutes bef
 ore an audience. This is thus an exercise in popularizing the thesis and e
 xplaining it\, in French or English\, in a clear\, concise and compelling 
 manner – all with the support of a single slide !\n\nThe selections are 
 open to the public and take place on Wednesday 24 January\, Friday 2 Febru
 ary and Wednesday 7 February 2024. Unlike the final\, the selections are 
 not recorded for the public. Colleagues\, friends\, families\, thesis dire
 ctors\, come to listen to them and encourage them!\n\nIMPORTANT:\n\n	Doors
  open to public at 12:00\n	Selections begin at 12:15\n	The public who arri
 ves late must wait outside until we open the doors inbetween presentations
 . It is FORBIDEEN to enter the room without authorization.\n\nFourteen pa
 rticipants will be selected by the jury for the EPFL final which will take
