DESCRIPTION:Aim: The SNSF Advanced Grants replace the ERC Advanced Grants 
 and are for researchers with an outstanding track record over the past 10 
 years\, who are recognized as leaders in their fields. The scientific exce
 llence of the research project and the applicant’s track record are the 
 only evaluation criteria.\n\nFunding: The budget can be up to CHF 1\,9 mio
 . for a period of up to 5 years\, (overhead is paid separately to EPFL). P
 roject-proposals for a duration of up to 5 years can be submitted. Additio
 nal funding up to CHF 870\,000 may be requested for the purchase or use of
  scientific infrastructure / equipment\, major experimental or field work 
 costs as well as costs related to a move to Switzerland.\n\nEligibility:\n
 \n	Several significant peer-reviewed publications in a responsible role th
 at had a major impact in the research field(s).\n	 \n	Major research mono
 graphs (for research where monographs are the norm).\n	 \n	Substantial re
 cord of invited presentations in well-established international conference
 s\, organization of international conferences\, granted patents\, outreach
  activities\, general contributions to science\, other artefacts with docu
 mented use.\n	 \n	A re-submission of an Advanced Grant proposal that was 
 rejected in the previous SNSF AdG calls (Step 1 or 2) is permitted. Howeve
 r\, previously submitted and evaluated proposals are not treated as re-sub
 mission\, but as new proposals (i.e. no revision notes allowed).\n\nObliga
