Informational Session on our upcoming continuing education course\, Space
Sustainability: How to design more sustainable missions?\n\nThis session w
ill provide a high-level overview of what Space Sustainability means: u
nderstand how can we secure the long-term usability of space and\, how c
an we design and operate missions and space businesseswith a keen focus
  on sustainability.\n\nTarget audience: Space stakeholders (engineers\, s
cientists\, non technical managers\, policy practitioners etc)\, active in
space agencies\, aerospace industries or related fields and concerned abo

years\, the exponential growth of spatial activities\, driven in part by
theexpanding commercial use of space\, has yielded promising business oppo
rtunities.However\, this expansion has also left behind a significant chal

0 objects currently observablein Earth's orbit. How can we secure the long
-term usability of space and designspace businesses and missions with a fo

esigned to: \n\nUnderstand what space sustainability means (from historic
 al\, geopolitical\,economic\, societal\, and environmental perspectives) a
nd how to measure it\n\nExplore tools and methodologies for developing mor
e sustainable spacemissions (ESA's MASTER and DRAMA suite\, Space Sustaina
 bility Rating\, LifeCycle Assessment & Environmental Impact Assessment\, e
tc.)\n\nInteract with the most recent research developments and explore th
e potentialadvantages of incorporating Environmental Social Governance (ES
 G) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies within the space s
ector\n\nThis course is organized by EPFL Space Center (eSpace)\, EPFL (Sw
