DESCRIPTION:Research Grants are awarded to independent\, established inves
 tigators to accelerate progress toward understanding and treating neuromus
 cular disease.\n\nAs part of MDA's basic research program\, the grants fun
 ded focus on advancing basic science and generating ideas for potential dr
 ug therapies through projects initiated by the researchers themselves.\n\n
 Duration:      up to 3 years\n\nFunding:       USD $100’000/yea
 r\n\nEligibility: \n\n	Open to US and non-US institutions.\n	Hold a Doctor
  of Medicine (M.D.)\, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)\, Doctor of Science (D.S
 c.) or equivalent degree (i.e. D.O.).\n	Be a professional or faculty membe
 r (professor\, associate professor\, or assistant professor) at an appropr
 iate educational\, medical\, corporate or research institution.\n\n\nHow t
