DESCRIPTION:Aim: the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) provides
  seed funding for highly innovative\, high-risk-high-reward research with 
 significant potential to accelerate its mission of funding type-1 diabetes
  research. Proposals should address key outstanding questions and have the
  potential to lead to a challenge or a change in the current paradigm or c
 onventional wisdom and/or lead to a groundbreaking discovery. Preliminary 
 data is not required in the proposal\, but the underlying concept\, premis
 e or hypothesis must be plausible and testable\, and the proposal must be 
 focused with a well-defined goal that is achievable within the timeframe a
 nd amount of the award.\n\nDuration:      12 months\n\nFunding:
