DESCRIPTION:Novartis funding instruments:\nThe Novartis Foundation for Med
 ical-Biological Research offers 2 types of support in the field of medicin
 e and medically oriented biology / biochemistry:\n- A.  Research Project 
 Grants: for experienced researchers developing projects at Swiss universit
 ies\n- B. Young Inverstigaors Grants: support researchers at their early s
 tages of independency at Swiss universities.\n\n\nGeneral restrictions & i
 nformations\n\n	The Foundation DOES NOT sponsor projects that include any 
 Novartis products.\n	Applicants for grants must not have received a grant 
 of the same kind from the Foundation within the last five years (e.g. appl
 icants requesting funding in the first 2026 deadline may only have last r
 eceived a Novartis Grant  in the first deadline of 2021). The   "Resear
 ch Fellowship abroad" (scheme now discontinued) is not taken into account 
 for these restrictions.\n	Resubmissions: No limitations\, send in a revise
 d version and explain any changes made to the original in a seperate docum

 p:\n\n\n	Applicants must be senior researchers responsible for the researc
 h project (PI).\n	Upper limit for project applications is 25 years after P
 hD.\n	Research to be conducted in Switzerland by members of a Swiss univer
 sity or research institution.\n\nA2. Budget\n\n\n	Maximum amount CHF 80’
 000.00\n	Applicant's salary not eligible\n	Eligible costs include:\n\n\n\n
 	Salaries for research staff (i.e. PhD students\, Postdocs or other staff 
 needed) > make sure to include social charges in the requested budget.\n	I
 nstruments or Intrument fees\n	Miscellaneous (consumables\, animal costs\,
  publication fees etc.)\n\nA3. Application:\nYour application should inclu

 STIGATOR GRANTS\nB1. Target group:\n\n\n	Researchers starting or continuin
 g their first independent research project at a Swiss Institute.\n	At leas
 t two years postdoctoral experience\n	Less than 8 years after completion o
 f PhD/MD.\n	Usual criteria apply for extension of the eligibility window (
 parental leave\, taking care of sick persons\, clinical training etc.)\n\n
 B2. Budget:\n\n\n	Maximum amount CHF 80’000.00\n	Eligible costs include:
 \n\n\n\n	Salaries for research staff (i.e. PhD students\, Postdocs or othe
 r staff needed\, applicant's salary eligible in exceptionnal cases) > make
  sure to include social charges in the requested budget.\n	Instruments or 
 Intrument fees\n	Miscellaneous (consumables\, animal costs\, publication f
 ees etc.)\n\nB3. Application:\n\n\n	Request an institutional support lette
 r no later than two weeks prior the given submission deadline\, at  EPFL 
 Research Office\, providing: \n\n-project title\n-expected starting date\n
 -budget\n-short summary of the project\n\nYour application should include
