DESCRIPTION:For each topic a mix of presentations from EPFL professors\, E
 PFL start-ups and success stories of collaborations between academia and i
 ndustry will be featured. \nEPFL Engineering Industry Day will give the o
 pportunity to academia and industry to meet and establish the foundation o
 f new collaborations in order to bring new disruptive technologies to soci
 ety.\nA broad range of topics will be discussed:\n\n- Materials and Proces
 ses\n- Robotics and Intelligent Systems\n- Health and MedTech\n- Energy an
 d Sustainability\n\nA series of booths will exhibit current research proje
 cts from the School of Engineering and EPFL research centers along with st
 art-ups.\nA unique convergence between research and industry\nThe event wi
 ll include thematic roundtables and other networking opportunities for res
 earchers and members of industry. Companies will discover firsthand the la
 test innovations coming out of EPFL labs and meet the researchers behind t
 hem\, while pitching their ideas and challenges to potential new collabora
 tors. Researchers will have the opportunity to present their work\, foster
  industry partnerships\, and identify professional avenues for their stude
 nts. For their part\, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers will have 
 the chance to discover corporate R&D\, get insights from the forefront of 
 industry and make connections for their future careers. All participants w
