DESCRIPTION:The AACR Gertrude B. Elion Cancer Research Award represents an
  effort to encourage and support tenure-eligible junior faculty members. T
 he research proposed for funding must focus on cancer aetiology\, diagnosi
 s\, treatment\, or prevention and may be basic\, translational\, or clinic
 al in nature.\n\nDuration:  1 year\n\nFunding:  $225\,000 USD\n\nEligibi
 lity:    \n\n	Applicants must be AACR Active members. Non-members can a
 pply for membership online. Please review the Membership Categories for
  the category that best fits your qualifications.\n	 \n	There are no citi
 zenship requirements\, and the call is open to research institutions anywh
 ere in the world.\n	 \n	Candidates should hold a tenure-eligible appointm
 ent at the rank of assistant professor (appointments such as research assi
 stant professor\, adjunct assistant professor\, assistant professor resear
 ch track\, visiting professor\, or instructor are not eligible. Applicants
  cannot be tenured or under consideration for a tenured academic position 
 at the time of the application. Applicants that have progressed to associa
 te professor appointments are also not eligible.)\n\n\nHow to Apply:\nAppl
