DESCRIPTION:The 4th call of the HAC programme was launched on 1 December 2
 023 with a deadline for applications on 21 March 2024 (17:00 CEST)\n\nThe
challenges faced by humanitarian organizations in general and by the Inter
national Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in particular are immense. In 2
023\, according to UNHCR\, more than 110 million people were displaced bec
ause of conflict and insecurity\, a number not reached since WWII. Extreme
climate events\, such as floods\, storms and droughts\, are on the rise\,
thereby increasing the vulnerability of people already suffering from con
flict1. The COVID19 pandemic further jeopardized the hard-fought gains in
access to healthcare and poverty reduction of the past decades. Therefore\
, EPFL and ETH Zurich are joining forces with the ICRC to explore innovati
ve solutions to such crises through the EHA initiative.\n\nThe goal of the
Science and Technology for Humanitarian Action Challenges is to support p
roject-based research between EPFL researchers\, ETH Zurich researchers\,
and the ICRC to develop effective solutions for a greater impact of humani
tarian action. To answer all your questions and help in your submission pr
 ocess\, a webinar is organized by EPFL.\n \n\n	Date: Thursday 25 January
 2024\n	Time: 12.00 – 13.00 (CEST)\n	Location: Online session via Zoom\n\
