DESCRIPTION:The Fulbright Specialist Program\, part of the larger Fulbrigh
 t Program\, pairs highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals with h
 ost institutions abroad to share their expertise\, strengthen institutiona
 l linkages\, hone their skills\, gain international experience\, and learn
  about other cultures while building capacity at their overseas host insti
 tutions.\n\nThrough the Fulbright Specialist Program\, U.S. academics and 
 professionals can apply their knowledge and expertise to a diverse array o
 f activities including\, but not limited to:\n\n	Delivering seminars\, tra
 inings or workshops\n	Consulting on faculty or workforce development\n	Dev
 eloping academic or training curricula and materials\n	Lecturing at the gr
 aduate or undergraduate level\n	Engaging in strategic or institutional pla
 nning\n	Conducting needs assessments or evaluations for a program or insti
 tution\n\n\nFunding: The U.S. Department of State\, Bureau of Educational 
 and Cultural Affairs (ECA)\, along with host institutions abroad*\, provid
 e U.S.-based Specialists with full funding to participate in Fulbright Spe
 cialist projects. Benefits include: Round-trip\, economy class airfare bet
 ween the U.S. and host country\, transit allowance\, all applicable visa f
 ees\, daily honorarium\, enrollment in a limited health benefits program\,
  lodging\, meals\, and in-country transportation.\n\nDuration:      2
 -6 weeks\n\nEligibility: For Host institutions\, the Fulbright Specialist 
 Program welcomes participation from a wide array of institutions\, includi
 ng universities\, non-governmental organizations\, cultural centers\, and 
 medical facilities. As for the Fulbright specialists\, both university fa
 culty members and highly experienced non-academics\, including legal exper
 ts\, business professionals\, artists\, scientists\, and journalists\, are
  encouraged to apply and use their unique expertise in support of host ins
 titutions abroad. U.S. partners who are not yet listed as Fulbright Specia
 lists can apply to become one as part of the larger application process.\n
 \nHow to Apply: The Fulbright Specialist Program is a field-driven initiat
 ive in which host institutions abroad conceptualize and design projects of
  interest that represent a priority for their respective organizations. On
 ce a host institution has developed their initial project design\, they su
 bmit a project proposal to the Fulbright Commission or U.S. Embassy in the
 ir country. If a Fulbright Commission/U.S. Embassy approves a project prop
 osal\, that proposal is forwarded to the ECA\, for further review and appr
 oval. A project is only officially approved after the review by ECA. The e
