 ular disease is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide.\nArtifi
 cial intelligence (AI) is now at the heart of all medical and technologica
 l developments. Is the future of cardiovascular medicine in the hands of A
 I or do we still need translational teamwork between engineers and medical
  doctor to build the future?\n\nBio\nDidier Locca is a Swiss-board certifi
 ed cardiologist with sub-specialisation in interventional cardiology\, car
 diovascular MRI and expertise in translational cardiac regenerative medici
 ne.\n\nHe received his medical degree and doctorate from the University of
  Lausanne\, Switzerland and obtained a european board certification in Car
 diovascular Magnetic Resonance from the Royal Brompton Hospital\, NHIL\, I
 mperial College London.\n\nHe is a former Consultant at Barts Heart Centre
  and Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University London (UK) and has been pro
 moted Reader in 2023 at the William Harvey Institute\, Centre for Cardiova
 scular Medicine and Devices\, Queen Mary University London. He is a Fellow
  of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and a Fellow of the American
  College of Cardiology (FACC). Didier Locca is a member of several Europea
 n societies for cardiac interventional cardiology and advanced imaging. He
  is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board and Core Curriculum Mem
 ber for Cardiovascular Translational Research of the International Society
  for Cardiovascular Translational Research (ISCTR). He is an official memb
 er of the Swiss Society of Cardiology (SSC) and past president of the card
 iology society of the Canton of Vaud.\n
