DESCRIPTION:Victor Petit\, Sophie Dars\, Carlo Menon\nIf any building desi
gned according to the currently dominant architectural principles is ‘zo
mbie’\, non-living\, as it is based on technologies and energies that wi
ll soon be exhausted or too costly for the planet\, how can we rethink our
relationship with buildings and technology? What are the possible attitud
es between the usual categories of cutting-edge technology\, high-tech\, a
nd its antonym\, low-tech?\nHis talk will attempt to explain the alternati
ve of the milieu-tech\, which sees machines not as our gods or our slaves\
, but as our children.\n\nAs part of the lecture series for the exhibition
Beyond High Tech Low Tech\, we are delighted to Victor Petit\, teacher i
n philosophy and ecology\, for a lecture entitled Wild Tech\, moderated by
the guest curator Sophie Dars and Carlo Meno (Accattone magazine).\n\n—
\n\nVictor Petit is a teacher-researcher at the Université de Technologi
e de Troyes. His research interests lie at the crossroads of the philosoph
y of ecology and the philosophy of technology\, with a focus on ‘milieux
-oriented design’. He is also interested in the history of eco-design an
d has contributed to the re-edition of Global Tools\, 1973-1975 (ed. IsdaT
 \, 2023).\n\nSophie Dars (France\, 1983) and Carlo Menon (Italy\, 1981)
collaborate on a practice situated between research\, publishing\, pedago
gy and project fabrication. Co-founders of the magazine Accattone\, they t
each design at the La Cambre Horta Faculty of Architecture (ULB\, Brussels
) and representation in the Civic Design Master’s program at PBSA Düsse
ldorf. In addition\, Sophie Dars regularly takes part in built projects\,
in association with architects and artists such as Central\, Piovenefabi\,
Pierre Leguillon and Simon Boudvin\, while Carlo Menon pursues theoretica
l and critical writing projects\, in connection with his doctoral thesis a
