DESCRIPTION:The SNSF is participating in the Amazon +10 call coordinated b
 y Brazil that aims to support scientific projects within the Legal Amazon 
 and is open to researchers from all disciplines.\n \n\n	Deadline: 29.04.2
 024\n	Amount: Swiss side: CHF250\,000 per project\n	Duration: Up to 3 year
 s\n\n\nThe call aims to support multidisciplinary scientific expeditions f
 ocusing on a better understanding of the nature-society interactions for t
 he sustainable and inclusive development of the Legal Amazon (Amazonas\, A
 cre\, Rondônia\, Roraima\, Pará\, Maranhão\, Amapá\, Tocantins and Mat
 o Grosso). Teams should propose the collection of data\, biological and mi
 neral specimens\, and pieces of native and popular culture (present and pa
 st)\, always focusing on one or more of the priority axes described below:
 \n \n\n	Understanding habitats and their species\;\n	Study of biodiversit
 y as a source of livelihood and potential for bioeconomy\;\n	Preservation 
 and recovery of natural capital\;\n	Studies of the material and immaterial
  heritage of ancestral\, indigenous and traditional people and their assoc
 iated knowledge\, ethnographies\;\n	Documentation and preservation of Amaz
 onian indigenous languages and associated knowledge systems\;\n	Studies on
  sustainable use of natural resources\, institutional arrangements for con
 servation\, and territorial dynamics of indigenous and traditional people\
 ;\n	Integration of field data with emerging technologies.\n\nEligibility:\
 n\n\n	Researchers from all disciplines are invited to submit applications 
 if their project corresponds to one of the above-mentioned subject areas. 
 The selection process will be aimed at achieving a balance between the pri
 ority areas.\n\n\nCollaboration composition:\n\n\n	Each proposal must have
  principal investigators from at least two Brazilian states that have join
 ed this call\, one of whom must be linked to higher education and/or resea
 rch institutions based in the states of the Legal Amazon.\n	The latter wil
 l act as coordinator in advance and will be responsible for the submission
 .\n	The inclusion of an international partner is possible but not mandator
 y.\n	The project must also include at least one PIQCT (Indigenous Peoples\
 , Quilombolas and Traditional Communities) member who holds traditional kn
