DESCRIPTION:The Germaine de Staël programme of the Swiss Academy of Engin
 eering Sciences (SATW) promotes collaborations between French and Swiss re
 searchers and research teams in any disciplines by reimbursing travel and 
 accommodation expenses incurred by Swiss team members as part of attending
  meetings or conferences in France. Projects including PhD students and yo
 ung researchers are especially encouraged.\n\nWho can apply: researchers b
 ased at any public or private Swiss research institute (EPF\, higher educa
 tion institutions\, universities\, research institutes\, HES/FHS and compa
 nies).\n\nFunding & Duration: max. CHF 4’500 per year and per team\, ren
 ewable once.\nEligible costs for reimbursement (only for Swiss participant
 s):\n\n	Travel and accomodation for short trips to France (max 10 days per
  trip\, several trips allowed)\n	Accommodation costs: up to CHF 240 per ni
 ght in Paris and up to CHF 150 per night elsewhere in France.\n	Daily allo
 wance: CHF 95 in Paris and CHF 80 elsewhere in France (for meals\, metro\,
  etc.)\n	Does NOT cover: overheads and any costs not mentioned above.\n\n\
 nTimeline of the Call:\n\n\n	Deadline for institutional signature: 7 worki
 ng days prior to the call deadline.\n	Deadline to submit the signed applic
 ation: 12 May 2026\n	Deadline for the two referees of choice to submit th
 eir reviews: before 15 June 2026\n	Decision published on the SATW webpage:
  end of November 2026\n\nApplication process:\n\n\n	Submit your final appl
 ication (in French or in English) for institutional signature to research@
 epfl.ch at least 7 working days prior to the call deadline.\n	Submit your 
 signed application to mint@satw.ch by 12 May 2026\n	Submit your applicatio
 n for review to 2 referees of your choice:\n\n\n\n	Referees cannot belong 
 to your own institution.\n	Both referees cannot belong to the same institu
 tion.\n\n!! The 2 referees must fill out and submit the evaluation form to
  mint@satw.ch by 15 June 2026.\n\n\nNote: applications MUST be submitted i
 n time and BOTH  in France  (by the French partner) and Switzerland (see
  above process) to be considered!\n\nEvaluation Criteria:\n\n\n\n\n	Scient
 ific quality of the submission\n	Scientific skills of the teams involved\n
 	Active involvement and mobility of young researchers ( specifically PhD s
 tudents and postdocs)\n	Added value of cooperation for the teams and compl
 ementarity of skillset\n	Longer term perspectives for the project\n	Partic
 ipation of female researchers\n	Expected scientific results (and potential
 ly implementation in industry)\n	Other EU fundings already secured by the 
 applicants (Horizon 2020\, Marie Sklodowska-Curie\, COST)\n	New collaborat
