 ng of interacting surfaces in relative motion. Tribology is a key factor t
 o successfully address new challenges related to the durability\, performa
 nce\, efficiency\, and sustainability of a number of strategic application
 s. Especially relevant for Switzerland\, is the demand for more efficient 
 micro/nanosystems\, bio-engineering interfaces and in the related manufact
 uring processes.\n\nThese seminars address specific advanced tribology top
 ics for a broad audience of engineers and scientists from academia and ind
 ustry. The speakers are recognized specialists and will discuss\, after a 
 broad introduction to the subject\, scientific challenges and technical op
 portunities in the specific topic.\n\nConducted at EPFL (Lausanne)\, MXF-3
 12 from 14:00 to 16:00\nPresentations will be followed by an informal disc
 ussion among participants. \n\nFree entrance: Limited to 25 participants.
