  practically related light microscopy courses. We are happy to announce th
 e second edition of a topic that was chosen based on your input: ‘Imagi
 ng Thick Specimen\, clearing and other clever tricks' .\n\nIt will teach a
 nd demonstrate how to optimally acquire images of large fixed specimen (or
 ganoids\, mouse brains\, large tissue sections) on three different microsc
 opes:\n- Zeiss LSM980 confocal microscope with Airyscan detector.\n- Zeiss
  LightSheet Z1 microscope.\n- Leica SP8 / Fluoview 4000\n\nWe also propose
  you to image your sample! Please check the registration form for more inf
 ormation.\n \nThe course is open to everyone from EPFL and registration i
 s free of charge. However\, unjustified late cancellations (less than 3 wo
 rking days before the course date) and no shows will be charged with a fee
  of CHF 250. It is expected that participants are familiar with the basic 
 concepts of light microscopy and have used a microscope recently. \n \nI
