DESCRIPTION:Louis Merlin (CPEG A. Dumas\, Paris)\nWe first define the syst
olic ratio of the sphere in different contexts\, from the most classical (
a Riemannian sphere) to the most general (a contact flow on the sphere) an
d survey different problems and results related to this notion (among whic
h: is it bounded? and if yes\, what is the supremum?).\n\n \n\nBeside the
survey part of this talk\, one of the goals is to present a new construct
ion of a systolically extremal (Finsler) metric on the sphere. This constr
uction is motivated both by the systolic problem and by general considerat
ions on desingularization techniques of Finsler metrics. This part of the
talk is a work in progress with Guillaume Buro.
