 mediate feedback tailored to individual learning needs.\n\nIn this lunch&L
 EARN session\, Tatjana Nazaretsky (Machine Learning for Education Laborato
 ry) will discuss a comprehensive study conducted at EPFL with 457 student
 s across multiple disciplines\, focusing on integrating generative AI into
  educational feedback systems.\n\nIt examines students' perceptions of AI-
 generated versus human-created feedback and the impact of revealing the fe
 edback source on their evaluations.\n\nThe findings indicate that the iden
 tity of the feedback provider significantly influences student preferences
  and perceptions\, affecting their receptivity to the feedback.\n\nThe ses
 sion will explore these outcomes and their implications for developing and
  implementing AI-based feedback systems in higher education. It will parti
 cularly emphasize the critical role of human factors in successfully integ
 rating and accepting AI technologies and suggest specific strategies for i
 nstitutions to enhance transparency and build trust in AI systems\, provid
 ing actionable insights for improving educational practices with AI.
