  Schwarzman College of Computing\n\nIn The Age of AI\, we consider how AI 
 will change our relationships with knowledge\, politics\, and the societie
 s in which we live. These changes are becoming more prominent with every p
 assing moment\, and this session endeavors to find the path that best embr
 aces the change for the benefit of business and society.\n\nDaniel Huttenl
 ocher is the inaugural dean of the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing and
  is the Henry Ellis Warren (1894) Professor of Electrical Engineering and 
 Computer Science.\nPreviously he helped found Cornell Tech\, the digital t
 echnology-oriented graduate school created by Cornell University in New Yo
 rk City\, and served as its first Dean and Vice Provost.\nHis research and
  teaching have been recognized by a number of awards including ACM Fellow 
 and CASE Professor of the Year. He has a mix of academic and industry back
 ground\, having been a Computer Science faculty member at Cornell\, resear
 cher and manager at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC)\, and CTO o
 f a fintech startup.\nHuttenlocher is an internationally recognized resear
 cher in computer vision and the analysis of social media. His book\, “Th
 e Age of AI: And Our Human Future\,” co-authored with Henry Kissinger an
 d Eric Schmidt\, was published by Little\, Brown in November 2021. He serv
 ed as a member and as the chair of the board of the John D. and Catherine 
 T. MacArthur Foundation\, and currently serves as a member of the boards o
 f Corning Inc. and Amazon.com.\nHe received his bachelor’s degree from t
 he University of Michigan\, and master’s and doctorate from MIT.\n\nLect
 ure on the occasion of his appointment as Doctor Honoris Causa.\n
