CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program
(CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the 2024 Reconstructive
Transplant Research Program(RTR). Several award programs are available:\n\
n	The Advanced Technology Development Award is intended to support researc
h critical for the translation of promising preclinical findings into prod
ucts focused on reconstructive transplantation. Proposed research and prod
ucts to be developed may be materiel products such as drugs\, biologic age
nts\, devices\, or knowledge-based products such as technical reports and
clinical practice guidelines that inform clinical/operational decisions an
d promote evidence-based changes in clinical practice and standard of care
. Proposed research may include preclinical studies in animal models\, hum
an subjects\, or human anatomical substances\, as well as correlative stud
ies associated with an existing clinical trial.\n	All applications must sp
ecifically address at least one of the Focus Areas listed in this document
.\n	 \n	The Idea Discovery Award is intended to support innovative\, unte
 sted\, high-risk/ potentially high-reward concepts\, theories\, paradigms\
, and/or methods relevant to reconstructive transplant. The outcome of res
earch supported by this award should be the generation of robust data that
can be used as a foundation for new avenues of scientific investigation.\
n	All applications must specifically address at least one of the Focus Are
as listed in this document.\n	 \n	The Investigator Initiated Research Awa
rd is intended to support studies that have the potential to make an impor
tant contribution to reconstructive transplant research\, patient care\, a
nd/or quality of life. Though the RTRP Investigator-Initiated Research Awa
rd mechanism supports groundbreaking research\, all projects must demonstr
ate solid scientific rationale with military-relevant utility.\n	All appli
cations must specifically address at least one of the Focus Areas listed i
n this document.\n\n\nFunding:\n\n\n	Advanced Technology Development Award
 : $1M – 1\,5M\n	Idea Discovery Award: $500\,000\n	Investigator Initiated
Research Award: $1M – 1\,5M\n\n\nDuration:\n\n\n	Advanced Technology De
velopment Award: 3 years\n	Idea Discovery Award: 2 years\n	Investigator In
itiated Research Award: 3 years\n\n\nEligibility: Applicants from internat
ional organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are
no citizenship restrictions. Independent investigators at or above the lev
el of Assistant professor (or equivalent) are eligible.\n\nHow to Apply: P
re-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should cont
ain contact information\, a letter of intent\, and a list of collaborators
and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applications will be
made via a Grants.gov workspace. Application packages can be downloaded f
 rom Grants.gov at any time.\n\nPre-Application Deadline:\n\n\n	07 august 2
