CATEGORIES:Conferences - Seminars
DESCRIPTION:The workshop includes mini-courses by Lubomir Banas (Bielefeld
University): Numerical analysis of SPDEs\; Benjamin Fehrman (Louisiana S
tate University): The kinetic formulation of the skeleton equation and SP
DEs of fluctuating hydrodynamics type\; Julian Fischer (IST Austria): The
Dean-Kawasaki equation\; Benjamin Gess (Bielefeld University): From larg
e deviations about porous media to PDEs with irregular coefficients\, grad
ient flow structures\, and SPDEs\; Hendrik Weber (University of Münster)
: Large scale problems in singular SPDEs. \n\nIn addition\, talks will be
given by Yvain Bruned (Université de Lorraine)\; Seiichiro Kusuoka (Kyot
o University)\; Khoa Le (University of Leeds)\; Lutz Weis (Karlsruher Inst
itut für Technologie)\; Deng Zhang (Shanghai Jiao Tong University).\nThis
is the third and final workshop of the Bernoulli Center Program "New deve
lopments and challenges in Stochastic Partial Differential Equations”. S
tochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) model a wide range of sys
tems that involve space--time varying randomness. Due to their far reachin
g scope\, SPDEs appear naturally in numerous scientific domains\, includin
g physics\, biology\, and finance. Since its initial development and thank
s to recent impressive advances\, the field has become mature with many di
fferent specialities and sub-fields\, and bridging the gap between these s
ub-fields is often demanding. The role of the workshop and the research pr
ogram is to bring researchers together to facilitate communications and ex
 change of fundamental ideas.
