DESCRIPTION:Aim: CLIP supports pre-clinical and translational research tha
 t can be directly applied to optimizing cancer immunotherapy in the clinic
 . CRI CLIP Grants are awarded to qualified scientists exploring clinically
  relevant questions aimed at improving the effectiveness of cancer immunot
 herapies.\n\n	In partnership with the Chordoma Foundation (CF)\, CRI al
 so invites LOIs focused on topics related to accelerating the development 
 of effective treatments and ultimately a cure for chordoma\, a rare type o
 f cancer that occurs in the bones of the skull base and spine. Please be a
 dvised that CF has chordoma models and banked tumor samples (including a n
 ew TMA consisting of 95 chordoma specimens) that are available to the res
 earch community.  Successful applications in this area will be co-funded 
 by CRI and CF.\n	In partnership with the Kidney Cancer Association (KCA)\
 , CRI invites LOIs specifically focused on topics related to accelerating 
 the development of effective immunotherapies for kidney cancer. Successful
  applications in this area will be co-funded by CRI and KCA.\n\n\nDuration
 : 2 years\n\nFunding: $300\,000\n\nEligibility: Applicants must hold a fac
 ulty appointment as a tenure-track assistant professor (or higher rank) at
  the time of award activation. CRI has no citizenship restrictions\, and r
 esearch supported by the award may be conducted at medical schools and res
 earch centers in the United States or abroad.\n\nHow to Apply: The process
  for applying for a CLIP Grant consists of two parts: a Letter of Intent\,
  and\, if invited\, a full application. Letters of intent and associated s
 upporting documents must be submitted electronically through a special sub
