DESCRIPTION:Since 1980\, Switzerland has required efficient land use. Howe
 ver\, even today\, there is still a deficit in its implementation. In Swis
 s spatial planning\, the law is not sufficiently applied. This led to the 
 SNF-Agora-funded science communication project "Proximity is the future: e
 very contribution counts!"\n\nthe 10-Minute-Neighborhoods concept presente
 d in this exhibition aims to raise awareness of this issue and stimulate d
 iscussion about the required sustainable transformation of our urban areas
 . It shows how\, using the example of the 10-Minute-Neighborhoods\, which 
 significantly reduce land and resource consumption\, effective implementat
 ion of the law can be achieved. Interaction between urban researchers\, th
 e construction sector\, planning authorities\, political decision-makers\,
  and the general public is necessary for this.\n\nThis project is being ca
 rried out by Sibylle Wälty\, spatial development researcher at ETH Wohnfo
 rum - ETH CASE\n\nWalk & Round Table\nTake a fresh look at Lausanne West o
 n the occasion of the Voisinage-de-10-minutes exhibition at EPFL. During a
  guided walk\, you will discover if and how your municipality is already i
 mplementing the principles of 10-minute neighbourhoods and what potential 
 can still be exploited.\n\nThe walk takes place on Monday 25 November at 4
  p.m. in Renens\, Place de la Gare\, south side\, in front of the entrance
  to the old station building.\n\nThe walk will be followed by a round-tabl
 e discussion during which experts and local players will highlight the opp
 ortunities and challenges of this innovative concept and answer your quest
