DESCRIPTION:To promote research and education in cyber-defence\, EPFL\, th
 e Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne\, and the Cyber-Defenc
 e (CYD) Campus have jointly launched the “CYD Fellowships – A Talent P
 rogram for Cyber-Defence Research”. There are two calls per year and the
  eleventh call is now open.\nCYD Fellowships are designed to promote new s
 olutions to major challenges in the fields of security and data science by
  bringing together basic and applied research. They are open to researcher
 s at master\, doctoral\, or postdoctoral level who are willing to engage w
 ith innovative issues in cyber-defence\, with a particular emphasis on:\n\
 n	Protection of confidentiality\, integrity\, and availability of cyber an
 d cyber-physical systems.\n	Information sharing\, data fusion and crowdsou
 rcing.\n	Data science & AI methods for analysing cyber- and technology-rel
 evant data.\n	Security\, privacy and digital trust technologies.\n\n\nWho 
 can apply:\n\n\n	CYD fellows must be hosted by a higher education institut
 ion in Switzerland and must conduct their research at the CYD Campus locat
 ed on the premises of EPFL and ETHZ and in its office in Thun.\n	CYD Proof
  of Concept fellows should be hosted by a Swiss higher education research 
 center\, their own startup based in Switzerland or at EPFL Innovation Park
 .\n	Citizens of any nationality may apply.\n	No age restrictions apply.\n\
 n\nFunding and duration:\n\n\n	CYD Master Thesis Fellowships: living allow
 ance and research funds for 6 months.\n	CYD Doctoral Fellowships: salary a
 nd research & conference funds for 4 years.\n	CYD Distinguished Postdoctor
 al Fellowships: salary and research & conference funds) for 2 years.\n	CYD
  proof-of-concept fellowships: personnel and/or development costs for 12 m
 onths.\n\n\nDeadlines:\n\n\n	26 February 2025 (17:00 CET) for Doctoral and
  Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship applications.\n	Rolling call for Ma
 ster Thesis Fellowship and Proof-of-Concept Fellowship applications.\n\n\n
