 r. Georg Treusch finished his studies in physics at TH Darmstadt\, Germany
  in 1981. He was awarded the title of PhD in physics (Dr.rer.nat.) in 1984
 . Georg Treusch is Founding Member of the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser T
 echnology\, Aachen Germany in 1985\, where he headed the department for la
 ser micro machining and later for diode and solid state lasers. From Janua
 ry 1999 until September 2005 he acted as Senior Engineering Manager for Sp
 ectra Physics\, Tucson\, AZ. From October 2005 till November 2009 he took 
 over the position of General Manager-VP of DILAS Diode Laser Inc. Tucson\,
  AZ. Since November 2009 Georg Treusch is Managing Director of TRUMPF Phot
 onics Inc. Cranbury\, NJ and responsible for supplying more than 10MW/year
  of diode laser power as a pump source for disk lasers.
