DESCRIPTION:Dr. Rachel Clune and Hope Woods\, Open Rosetta Team\nBIOENGINE
ERING SEMINAR\n \nAbstract:\nMany powerful research tools begin as softwa
re developed within a single lab\, often optimized for a specific project
or computing environment. This can sometimes make these tools frustrating
to install and use. Turning these tools into reliable\, maintainable resou
rces for the broader community requires testing infrastructure\, clear doc
umentation\, and long-term support. The Rosetta Commons provides resources
\, staff\, and training to help make this process straightforward and rewa
rding for developers and contributors\, while helping reduce the frustrati
on users often experience when installing and using new tools developed in
the community.\n\nBio:\nIn this seminar\, Hope Woods (Technical Product L
ead) and Rachel Clune (Documentation Writer) will highlight several Rosett
a Commons resources and discuss the benefits of hosting software within th
e Rosetta Commons infrastructure. They will also describe their work with
developers of tools such as Foundry\, HBDesigner\, AtomWorks\, and Frustra
MPNN to help ensure these projects can be maintained and supported by the
community over time. Finally\, they will outline pathways for researchers
interested in bringing their own tools into the Rosetta Commons ecosystem.
