DESCRIPTION:Recent improvements in diagnostic testing have enabled molecul
 ar and lateral flow testing to be performed closer to the patient than eve
 r and in some cases at home with a fully consumable test format. The chall
 enge lies in developing solutions upstream to testing that enable easier\,
  more affordable\, and self-administered sample collection\, sample prepar
 ation\, and lysis when needed to support innovative PoC tests with faster 
 turnaround times.\n\nSpecifically\, the objectives of this challenge will 
 be to address one\, or all\, of the following:\n\n	Self-Sample Blood Colle
 ction Devices (Phlebotomist-free blood collection\n	Sample Collection for 
 MTB\n	Sample Preparation Devices (Instrument-free sample processing) for H
 IV detection\n	Sample Lysis Devices (Instrument-free lysis) for TB lysis\n
 	Sample Clean up and Analyte Concentration\n\nFull description available h
 ere\n\nFunding: USD 100\,000 – 250\,000 (incl. 15% overheads)\n\nDuratio
 n: max. 2 years\n\nEligibility: This initiative is open to nonprofit organ
 izations\, for-profit companies\, international organizations\, government
  agencies\, and academic institutions. We particularly encourage applicat
 ions involving projects led by women or from women-led organizations and a
 pplications from institutions based in low- and middle-income countries.\n
 \nHow to Apply: Applicants should start by creating a profile on the appli
 cation portal. The proposal – 2 pages maximum – can then be uploaded. 
 The budget table and narrative – template here - can be uploaded separat
 ely. Budgets should include 15% indirect costs. Upon registration\, applic
