Jarillo-Herrero is Professor in Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Tec
hnology (MIT). In 2018 he presented a new 2D-platform to investigate stron
gly correlated physics\, based on graphene moiré superlattices.\n\nThe un
derstanding of strongly-interacting quantum matter has challenged physic
ists for decades. The discovery seven years ago of correlated phases and s
uperconductivity in magic angle twisted bilayer graphene has led to the
emergence of a new materials platform to investigate strongly interacting
physics\, namely moiré quantum matter. These systems exhibit a plethor
 a of quantum phases\, such as correlated insulators\, superconductivity\
, magnetism\, ferroelectricity\, and more. In this talk I will review some
of the recent advances in the field\, focusing on the newest generation o
f moiré quantum systems\, where correlated physics\, superconductivity
\, and other fascinating phases can be studied with unprecedented tunabili
ty. I will end the talk with an outlook of some exciting directions in thi
 s emerging field.\n
