DESCRIPTION:Jérémy La Scala and Denis Gillet\nCollaborative ideation is
essential for innovation and problem-solving\, yet students often struggl
e to generate diverse and original ideas without adequate support. In this
talk\, Jérémy La Scala and Denis Gillet will explore how virtual envir
onments and artificial peers—powered by large language models—can enha
nce collaborative ideation in educational settings.\n\n\nThey will introdu
ce a web-based virtual environment designed to facilitate brainstorming\
, where students collaborate with artificial peers that generate real-time
responses to enrich the ideation process. They will present findings from
their recent studies on different collaboration models for idea generatio
n and offer practical recommendations for designing brainstorming activit
ies that leverage collective intelligence.\n \n\nWithin this context\,
they will examine the role and impact of artificial peers\, which activel
y co-create by providing diverse and novel contributions during brainstorm
ing sessions.\n\n\nThe talk will conclude with a discussion on effective
interaction mechanisms—such as guiding questions and iterative feedback
loops—that maximize the potential of artificial agents. They will also s
hare practical strategies for integrating AI-enhanced collaborative ideat
ion into project-based and design-based learning. Finally\, They will exp
lore future models of human-AI collaboration\, considering how artificial
agents can support group decision-making and problem-solving in educatio
 n.
