DESCRIPTION:Aim\nFor excellent scientists to consolidate their research ca
 reer in the framework of an ambitious research project\, allowing for majo
 r scientific advancements.\n\nFunding & duration\nMax. EUR 2 Mio for a per
 iod of max. 5 years (including 25% overhead\; pro rata temporis for shorte
 r project duration). Additional funding up to EUR 1 mio. (including 25% ov
 erhead)\, may be requested for well justified reasons\; additional funding
  covers for example start-up costs for PIs moving to Switzerland\, purchas
 e of major equipment\, access to large facilities\, other major experiment
 al and field work costs including personnel costs. For applicants relocati
 ng to the EU or a Horizon Europe Associated country as a consequence of ob
 taining the ERC grant\, additional funding for up to EUR 2 million can be 
 requested.\n\nEligibility\n\n	Applicants must be 7 – 12 years after thei
 r successful PhD defense. Eligibility window call 2026: 01.01.2014 - 31.1
 2.2018\n	Principal Investigators must commit a minimum of 40% of their wor
 king time to the project and a minimum of 50% of their working time in a E
 uropean Member State or Associated Country.\n	For applicants without profe
