 ral Challenge\, lecture (in French) by Prof. Dr. Agnes Weilandt\, partner 
 in the Bollinger+Grohmann design office\, professor at the Fachhochschule 
 Frankfurt and Queen\n\nProfessor Agnes Weildandt will explore her fascinat
 ion with structural design\, focusing on complexity\, sustainability and i
 nnovation. Through concrete examples\, she will demonstrate how challenges
  can be transformed into creative opportunities to shape a sustainable fut
 ure.\n\nThe lecture will be followed by a round-table discussion and an ap
 eritif.\n\nThe round table will focus on the challenges of leading large t
 eams and projects. It will be moderated by Raphaël Bach\, architect and r
 esearch assistant at EPFL. Prof. Agnès Weilandt will be joined by :\n\n	R

 SA and UPIAV committee member\n\n >> Registration\n\nAbout Agnes Weilandt
 :\nProf. Dr. Agnes Weilandt completed her studies in civil engineering at 
 RWTH Aachen in 1999. Between 2001 and 2005\, she was a research associate 
 at the Institut für Leichtbau Entwerfen und Konstruieren (ILEK) at the Un
 iversity of Stuttgart. Working in the field of lightweight construction re
 search and adaptability\, she wrote a doctoral thesis entitled “Adaptabi
 lity in thin-walled load-bearing structures”. Prior to and in parallel w
 ith her research activities at the University of Stuttgart\, she worked at
  the Werner Sobek Ingenieure design office in Stuttgart between 1999 and 2
 004. Since 2006\, she has been working at Bollinger + Grohmann\, where she
  has been a partner since 2011. In 2010\, she was appointed Professor of S
 tatics\, Mechanics and Structural Engineering at the Fachhochschule Frankf
 urt.\n\nThis exhibition has received the support of the EPFL Equal Opportu
 nity Office.
