 icant increase in position sensitivity of Brownian particle in experiments
  was made possible by invention of optical trapping and accompanying inter
 ferometry. In order to gauge the current scientific progress\, we pose thr
 ee mutually connected questions:\n• What kind of instrument one must dev
 elop to reach higher position sensitivity?\n• What kind of physical phen
 omena can one discover with higher position sensitivities?\n• What kind 
 of physical phenomena remain unexplored at currently available resolution?
 \nThese questions can be asked simultaneously for high vacuum\, gases\, li
 quids\, biological matter (viscoelastic media\, active matter and single-m
 olecule experiments) and quantum fluids.\nThere is no laboratory that perf
 orms experiments in all of them and thus the workshop would foster interac
 tion between laboratories that don’t usually interact.\nIn some cases\, 
 motion of a Brownian particle is explored for its own sake\, whereas in ot
 hers fluctuations of the Brownian particle have to be removed\, and hence 
 Brownian motion can be a friend or a foe.
