ch\nProf. Jieping Zhu earned his B.Sc. from Hangzhou Normal University and
his M.Sc. from Lanzhou University (P. R. China) under the guidance of Pro
fessor Yulin LI. He then completed a Ph.D. at University Paris XI\, France
\, with Professor H.-P. Husson and Pr. J. C. Quirion. After an 18-month po
 st-doctoral stay with Professor Sir D. H. R. Barton at Texas A & M Univers
ity (USA)\, he joined the CNRS “Institut de Chimie des Substances Nature
lles” as a Chargé de Recherche and was promoted to Director of Research
2nd class in 2000 and then 1st class in 2006. In September 2010\, he move
