CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the 2025 Duchenne M
uscular Dystrophy Research Program (DMDRP). Several award programs are ava
ilable:\n\n	The Clinical/Translational Research Award supports advanced tr
anslational research that will accelerate the movement of promising ideas
in DMD research into clinical applications. Translational research may be
defined as an integration of basic science and clinical observations. Howe
ver\, applicants should not view translational research as a one-way conti
nuum from bench to bedside. The research plan must involve a reciprocal fl
ow of ideas and information between applied and clinical research. As such
\, applications must include preliminary and/or published data relevant to
DMD to support the proposed research project.\n\nAll applications must sp
ecifically address at least one of the Focus Areas listed in this document
.\n\n\n	The Idea Development Award promotes new ideas that are still in th
e early stages of development and have the potential to yield impactful da
ta and new avenues of investigation. This award supports conceptually inno
vative\, high-risk/high-reward research that could lead to critical discov
eries or major advancements that will accelerate progress in improving out
comes for individuals with DMD. Applications should include a well-formula
ted\, testable hypothesis based on strong scientific rationale.\n\nAll app
lications must specifically address at least one of the Focus Areas listed
in this document.\n\nFunding:\nClinical/Translational Research Award: $91
 0\,000 – 1.9M\nIdea Development Award: $500\,000\n\nDuration:\nClinical/
Translational Research Award: 3-4  years\nIdea Development Award: 2 years
\n\nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutio
ns are eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions.\n\nH
ow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. Th
ey should contain contact information\, a letter of intent\, and a list of
collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applic
ations will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Application packages can b
 e downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.\n\nPre-Application Deadline: 25
