 tor bundles\, the celebrated Hitchin-Kobayashi correspondence states that 
 the slope-stability of the bundle is equivalent to the existence of a Herm
 ite-Einstein connection.\n\nIn the first part of the talk\, we present a c
 lassical result of Hong that relates this to Kähler metrics\, showing tha
 t on the projectivisation of a slope-stable vector bundle there exists a K
 ähler metric with constant scalar curvature.\n\nIn the second part of the
  talk\, we generalise this to slope-semistable vector bundles. In particul
 ar\, we introduce a new stability condition on strictly slope-semistable v
 ector bundle that allows us to construct constant scalar curvature metrics
  on the projectivisation.\n\nThis is joint work with L.M. Sektnan.
