CATEGORIES:Conferences - Seminars
DESCRIPTION:Aim:  There is an urgent need for innovative\, biocompatible\
, minimally invasive sampling and analytical technologies that enable real
-time\, high-resolution interrogation of proteomic and metabolomic landsca
pes in live tissues. With a focus on immunology and autoimmune disease\, t
his program aims to catalyze the creation of scalable\, engineering-driven
solutions that support both ex vivo and in vivo applications.\n\nThe RFA
program will be centered on the development of instrumented tissues that p
rovide precise spatiotemporal insights into immune processes in tissue and
disease models.  To achieve this\, CZI supports interdisciplinary collab
orations at the nexus of bioengineering\, systems biology\, and AI. For mo
re details on the scope of the call\, see the RFA.\n\nTwo funding lines wi
ll be made available: Focused projects\, for exploratory\, risky technolog
y development strategies\, and Expanded projects\, for projects that provi
de end-to-end solutions for live tissue proteomics and/or metabolomics.\n\
nFunding:       $600\,000 for Focused projects\, or $1M for Expanded
  projects\n\nDuration:       24 months\n\nEligibility: Applications
may be submitted by domestic and foreign nonprofit organizations\, includi
ng public and private institutions. Teams may include a total of up to thr
ee PIs\; Each application must have one Coordinating PI\, but may designat
e up to three total PIs. Tenure track faculty are eligible\, as well as No
n-tenure track faculty or staff scientists who lead a lab or are engaged i
n academic activities and are permitted to apply for grants by their insti
tution. Early-career investigators are strongly encouraged to apply.\n\nHo
w to Apply: All applications must be completed and submitted through CZI
’s online grants management portal at https://apply.chanzuckerberg.com.
Applications should include PI details\, organization details\, a proposa
l and budget\, Biosketches for all PIs\, and optional letters of commitmen
 t.  Detailed application instructions are available in the RFA\, as well
as in the grants management portal. Decisions will be returned in late Fe
bruary 2026\, with projects expected to begin on 1 April 2026.\n\nDeadline
 :      13 November 2025 (5 p.m. ET)\n\nFurther information:\n\n	More
information about the program can be found here\n	For help on the Institut
ional Approval Form\, contact the Research Office\n	Any other questions\,
including on the budget\, can also be directed to the Research Office\n
