Free\, registration required\nInscription\n\nTraditionally confined to the
fields of agriculture\, geography\, and soil science\, the study of soil
s has now become a crucial element of urban planning and design. Inspired
by Bernardo Secchi’s seminal work\, Progetto di Suolo (1986)\, this semi
nar aims to explore innovative approaches to the management and design of
urban soils from the perspectives of architecture and urbanism.\n\nThe o
bjective is to understand how cities can better coexist with their natura
l foundations\, notably through the development of strategies for rehabili
tating degraded urban soils. Bringing together the perspectives of profess
ionals and researchers from HRC- EPFL and HEIA-FR\, the seminar aims to an
alyze contemporary methodologies of representation\, characterization\, an
d design of shared\, productive\, and inhabited natural spaces capable of
addressing contemporary environmental and social challenges.\n\nJoin Luc
ía Jalón (HRC / ALICE-EPFL)\, Séréna Vanbutsele (TRANSFORM / HEIA-F
R)\, and Antoine Vialle (TU-Berlin)\, with Julie Riondel (TRANSFORM /
HEIA-FR) and Ben Gitaï (HRC-EPFL) as moderators.\n\nOne of the followin
