 lpi (Societat Orgànica) and STUDIO SOTNAS.\n\nWhat is a greenhouse withou
 t the 'green'? Or a Jardin d'Hiver without winter? As part of the 'Tackle 
 the Type' series\, the Greenhouse Studies design studios explore the poten
 tial of greenhouses and other microclimatic structures in the context of c
 ontemporary challenges. Alongside the design studio\, Laboratory EAST orga
 nises an international colloquium to enable students to expand their knowl
 edge of the subject by learning from external leading experts. This year\,
  we are pleased to welcome:\n\nProfessor Sascha Roesler (USI)\, an urban s
 cholar and architectural theorist working at the intersection of architect
 ure\, ethnography and science and technology studies. Professor Roesler wi
 ll discuss the key concept of thermal governance +\n\nLuca Volpi\, an arc
 hitect and sustainability consultant and partner at Societat Orgànica (Ba
 rcelona and Lisbon)\, will present strategies for designing low-impact bui
 ldings in consideration of climate +\n\nGonçalo André Pires is a partne
 r at STUDIO SOTNAS\, an architectural practice based in Aarhus and Lisbon.
  He will present SOTNAS' work\, in which the technical dimensions of the p
 ractice are translated into designs with cultural\, environmental\, and st
 ructural significance +\n\nThis year's Greenhouse Studies II – Colloqui
 um will close with an open discussion.\n\n_ _ _ _ _ _ \n\nGreenhouse Stud

 design studio Greenhouse Studies II\, FS2025.\n\nOrganising committee: Dr.
