  EPFL Photonics Chapter (EPC) is pleased to invite you to our upcoming Aut
 hor Workshop on November 21st at 13:00 in CO 122. The aim of this event is
  to provide valuable insight into effective scientific writing and publica
 tion practices\, shared directly by experts with extensive experience as e
 ditors and reviewers.\nWe are honored to welcome Prof. Luc Thévenaz\, Pr
 of. Olivier Martin\, professors at EPFL School of Engineering and editors 
 of renowned photonics journals\, and Dr. Claus Roll\, Senior Deputy Direc
 tor Europe\, OPTICA\n\nThe workshop will include talks from our invited sp
 eakers on best practices in research writing and common mistakes to avoid.
  This will be followed by a hands-on feedback session\, where participant
 s may present their research summarized in a short abstract and receive di
 rect\, constructive feedback. They will also provide you with practical ch
 ecklists and guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission. The eve
 nt will end with a concluding networking apéro. \n\nIf you are interest
 ed in improving your scientific writing\, understanding the publication pr
 ocess\, and learning about ethical considerations in research\, this works
