DESCRIPTION:Twenty-four documents from the Heinz Hossdorf and Florian Visc
her fonds\, on loan from the Archives of Modern Construction (ACM)\, are p
resented in the exhibition 8 Buildings\, 1 Engineer: The Architecture of H
 einz Hossdorf\, at gta Exhibitions\, ETH Zurich\, until 20 February.\n\nCo
nceived by Alexandra Calvet Bordas\, Rémy Crettenand\, Fiona Hatz\, and L
ars Klemensberger\, with scientific coordination by Giulia Boller (ETH Zur
ich)\, the exhibition is supported by the Chair of Theory of Architecture
(Prof. Laurent Stalder\, ETH Zurich)\, Prof. Elke Genzel (HTW Berlin)\, as
well as the gta Archive and gta Exhibitions.\n\nThe exhibition offers an
in-depth reading of eight emblematic projects by Heinz Hossdorf (1925–20
06)\, a major civil engineer in twentieth-century Swiss architecture\, who
se work lies at the intersection of engineering\, architecture\, and techn
ological innovation. The documents on loan from the ACM—including projec
 t files\, plans and drawings\, photographs\, critical writings\, and publi
cations—shed particular light on the Les Échanges pavilion of the 1964
Swiss National Exhibition in Lausanne\, as well as on later projects\, inc
luding the Swiss Pavilion for the 1992 World Exposition in Seville.\n\nAll
practical and scholarly information is available on the official website
of the organizers and gta Exhibitions.\n\n18 December 2025 – 20 February
