DESCRIPTION:To support innovative research projects of independent\, early
 -career group leaders in Switzerland.\n\nThe Foundation supports medical r
 esearch of all types\, funding specific research activities within the app
 licant’s research program. It does not fund partial support or purely cl
 inical studies.\n\nFunding and duration per project\n\n	Duration of fundin
 g: maximum 3 years\n	Volume of funding: up to CHF 400'000 in total\n	The F
 oundation funds up to ten projects per year.\n\n\nWho can apply:\nEligible
  for applications are independent\, early-career group leaders in Switzerl
 and\n\n	Independent: a PI leading their own group and eligible for SNSF pr
 oject funding.\n	Early‑career: within 6 years of starting as an independ
 ent group leader (by March 2026)\, minus any eligible interruptions.\n\nAp
 plicants are not eligible to apply if:\n\n\n	they have already been benefi
 ciaries of the grant in the past\n	they already hold a tenured professorsh
 ip position.\n\nMultiple or overlapping applications\nDouble funding for t
 he same project is not allowed. Applicants must declare if the same or an 
 overlapping application has been submitted elsewhere\, specify the agency\
 , estimate the overlap\, and attach the summary sheet. They must also info
 rm the Foundation immediately if they submit a similar application during 
 the evaluation process.\n\nEvaluation \nEvaluation takes place in two ste
 ps by multiple experts across biomedical research:\n\n	review of the struc
 tured summary\, and\n	review of selected full proposals.\n\nProposals are 
 evaluated on:\n\n\n	scientific originality\n	the investigator’s track re
 cord\n	feasibility\n	budget justification and coherence\n\nNo feedback is 
 provided.\nTimeline \n\n\n	Internal deadline for employer letter ( if app

 dline: March 10\, 2026 at 12:00 CEST- Structured summary and full propos

 ble from 29 Jnaury ) submitted as a single PDF\, including:\n\n	\n		SNSF o
 fficial CV (from mySNF / SNSF CV portal)\n		Up to 10 key publications (und
 erline those relevant to the project)\n		If applicable: declaration of ide
 ntical/overlapping submissions to other funders\, including funder name\, 
 estimated overlap\, and the other proposal’s summary sheet\n	\n	\n	Full 
 proposal (template) submitted as a single PDF\, including the same annexes
 :\n	\n		SNSF official CV\n		Up to 10 key publications (underline those rel
 evant to the project)\n		If applicable: declaration of overlapping submiss
 ions as above\n	\n	\n	Independent eligibility calculator table (template)\
 n	\n		Only the HHF office sees the detailed deductions\; reviewers do not\
 n	\n	\n	If applicable: a letter from the employer confirming contract exte
 nsion until the project end date (for applicants with annual or expiring c
 ontracts). Please contact research@epfl.ch\n\nBudget \nThe budget may co
 ver salaries for  project staff (e.g.\, PhD students\, postdocs\, technic
 ians\, study nurses)\, material costs\, and other expenses directly relate
 d to the research project. The applicant’s own salary cannot be funded\,
  and equipment purchases are not eligible.\nPlese note\, at least two‑th
 irds of the total funding must remain in Switzerland.\nOverhead costs are
