DESCRIPTION:The programme aims to support innovative\, interdisciplinary r
 esearch that places natural daylight at the centre of the research questio
 n and research plan.\nThe ambition is to:\n\n	Address neglected but impact
 ful questions where daylight plays a central role\n	Encourage high‑risk\
 , outside‑of‑the‑box ideas\n	Generate interdisciplinary collaboratio
 ns\, especially between disciplines that rarely interact\n	Support researc
 h that has the potential to drive systemic change\, influence global healt
 h\, and inform urban planning\n\nThematic Focus\nNatural daylight must be 
 in the centre of both the research question and the research plan. Applica
 tions should contribute to at least one of the three focus topics:\n• Fu
 ture solar societies\n• Daylight and global health\n• Daylight and urb
 anisation\n\nProject Types\nTwo funding schemes are available:\nA. Seed Pr
 ojects – “Test the impossible”\n\n\n	Feasibility / pilot studies exp
 loring very high‑risk\, radically new ideas\n	Interdisciplinary combinat
 ions of fields that rarely work together\n	Must generate initial empirical
  data\n	Funding: CHF 50\,000–100\,000\n	Duration: up to 1 year\n\nB. Res
 earch Projects – “Deliver the breakthrough”\n\n\n	Full interdiscipli
 nary research studies\n	No need to apply for seed first\n	Funding: CHF 100
 \,000–300\,000\n	Duration: up to 4 years\n\n\nWho can apply:\n\n\n	The P
 rincipal Investigator (PI) must be a permanent employee (professor\, group
  leader) of a university or a permanent research organisation\n	Co‑PIs 
 is/are key personnel who is/are essential to the project and will be invol
 ved in the project management\,  may be non‑permanent employees\n	Up t
 o 3 co‑PIs\n	Collaborators are persons you are consulting with. Unlimite
 d collaborators possible\n\n\nFunding and Duration \nSeed Projects\n\n\n	C
 HF 50\,000–100\,000\n	Up to 12 months\n	 \n\nResearch Projects\n\n\n	CH
 F 100\,000–300\,000\n	Up to 4 years\n\nEligible budget categories includ
 e:\n\n\n	Salaries\n	Consumables (not more than 20% of the total amount\, e
 xceptions must be justified).\n	Equipment.\n	Knowledge transfer (travel\, 
 conference participation\, workshop organization).\n	Other costs related t
 o research capacity building.\n	Overhead is not Eligible\n\n\nDeadlines\n\
