DESCRIPTION:\n\nAim: EMBO is an organization of more than 2\,100 leading r
 esearchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences in Europe and b
 eyond. The major goals of the organization are to support talented researc
 hers at all stages of their careers\, stimulate the exchange of scientific
  information\, and help build a research environment where scientists can 
 achieve their best work. The EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships support excelle
 nt postdoctoral researchers throughout Europe and the world for a period o
 f up to two years. International mobility is a key requirement. The fellow
 ship includes a salary or stipend\, a relocation allowance and support for
  fellows with children. Awardees can attend an EMBO Laboratory Leadership 
 course and become part of the global network of EMBO Fellows. \n\n \n\nF

 ars \n\n \n\nEligibility:  Main eligibility criteria: \n \n\n\n\n	App
 licants must hold a PhD degree or equivalent at the start of the fellowshi
 p. \n\n\n\n\n\n	Applicants who already hold a PhD at the time of applicat
 ion are eligible to apply only if they obtained it during the two years pr
 ior to the application submission date. \n\n\n\n\n\n	Applicants must have
  at least one first (or joint first) author primary research paper accepte
 d for publication or published in an international peer reviewed journal a
 t the time the application is submitted.  \n\n\n\n\n\n	All applications 
 must involve movement between countries (detailed information about mobili
 ty requirements is listed in the EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships guidelines)
 . \n\n\n\n\n\n	Candidates who have already started working in the host la
 boratory can apply only if they have been working in the host laboratory f
 or less than six months at the time the application is complete. \n\n\n\n
 \n\n	Research proposals must be within EMBO’s scientific scope\, but mus
 t not be a direct continuation of the PhD project. \n\n\n\n\n\n	A host 
 laboratory may support a maximum of one candidate per selection round: in 
 case of multiple applications to the same host lab\, the office will reque
 st the lab to withdraw the exceeding application(s). \n\n\n\n \n\nHow to
  Apply: Applications and supporting documentation (two references\, receiv
 ing institute acceptance) are only accepted via the online application sys
 tem. Carefully read the FAQs and the EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships guideli
 nes before applying. No application can be completed without all the infor
 mation required\, including the two reference letters and the acceptance l
 etter from the receiving institute. The date\, according to Central Europe
 an (summer) Time (CE(S)T)\, in which the candidates confirm that their app
 lication is complete\, is the reference date for eligibility and evaluatio
 n. \n\n \n\nDeadline: Rolling. Applications received before the fourth F
 riday in January will be considered in the Spring round\, and those receiv
 ed before the second Friday in July will be considered in the Autumn round
 . For 2026 these dates are 23 January and 10 July\, respectively. \n\n \
